Got a call from Relief India Trust(+91 9278365403) for Laxmi’s Heart surgery. They need 3 L for the operation and have collect 2.11 L till now. And they also wanted the transaction id of my payment through the website.
Good that I found this info before I went ahead with it.

Today I have also donated for same girl LAXMI, 12year recived called from 09266638909, Mr. Aman. After donation again revived call for more donations. They have send me mail also about their company & case history of laxmi. Are all this fraud. They are breaking the basic rules of humanity that is trust and social responsibility. Ok this time I may be a Victim but what about the next time my friend. I know the people who done this fraud must read all this blog. So carry on you will certainly be rewarded, then not seek help.

I got the call just before an hour. They told me that the amount is 88k and they need fully 3.8lakh and asked me to donate. I told send me the details if I find you genuine I will donate and then I found this blog. Thanks to the author just saved me a lot of money.

I got a call from number 9289220379 today asking to donate money for baby lakshmi’s open heart surgery. I can see from this thread that the first call for the same person was on April 26. How can a person wait for more than a month for a critical surgery like this. I hate these fuckin fraudsters asking money using noble causes as a reason.

Hi Vishnu, Thanks for the Information. I too got calls from these people for the last one week. I am keep postponing the payment process, because by the first day it self I got clue that this is some kind of scam related organization. So I started playing with these people.

Funny part is so many other friends wrote in this blog that they are asking money for a critically ill patient (12 years old) Lakshmi. I think Lakshmi was not operated from last one month even though her condition is critical. How sorrow it is???

smelled something fishy with the way the call executives are overzealous of receiving the payment and act as true sycophants.

i also donate to World Vision India and an extrememly happy with the way they work. I dont get more than one call in a year and no followups. they also send a lot of printed material even though i have not made any payment for quite some time now

A word of advice; don’t just ask for registration certificate (anyone can have that), but also their complete profile including trustees, audited accounts, 80G/12A certificates and activity reports. No genuine NGO would refuse to show you these. I work for the NGO sector, and can vouch for this. The 80G also gives you an income-tax rebate.

the thing is its from 2011, there different age, then 2012 different age, too much discrepancies. last but not the least how come the emergency/urgency list is static. try to check caches in none, which means definitely this website and its agents are a fraud. they asked me to pay 20700 indian rupees, my my, how cool. honestly they should be in bollywood or hollywood.
if you see the photographs there? you will see different dates (which is obvious and different age) whattttttttttttt? different age? one time 1 and 1/2 and then 3 and 1/2 and then back to 1 and 1/2, and then i called up aiims and i asked for the details, they dont know and the staffs hang up.

then offered me to allow my cousin who is in noida to pay a visit to them, where according to them they have 40 then incremented to 41 and then 35 kids? now thats what i call totally well prepped fraud/scam. you told me such beautifull lies. now i hate to say the truth they are not happy with the money i was about to offer. 1000 indian rupees they asked me to pay 1650 indian rupees. nice. real ngo stick to their guns. they dont to aggressive online adament marketing, and they call from a fixed number and not mobile numbers. fishy? i smell fish, meow!

Hi Vishnugopal… thanks for sharing this insight. But I am still in confusion.

I last month donated 5000 Rs for a boy Mahi Jaiswal after checking his AIIMS medical records on their website and all seemed to be OK. Now they called me again and asked for donation for another poor girl. But since I have read hordes of complaints on the internet, I got skeptical this time around and asked them to provide contact number of the parents of Mahi Jaiswal so that I can verify. This they did not provide citing that the parents don’t have a mobile/contact phone due to sheer poverty.

To which I asked them to provide hospital discharge certificate which they provided so it seems that there is an element of truth here.

However, in line with your insight on their registration I also could not find them listed on Government’s NGO directory and this seems fishy.

In conclusion, I could not conclude if they are genuine or fraudulent.
