I just downloaded a nightly build (RC1, actually) of WordPress 2.0 to test out locally and was mighty impressed. AJAX has been used subtly to enhance the interface. While it still requires a degree of polish, WP2 looks much more pleasing to the eye. Drupal, incidentally, is also polishing up its next release.
